Music@Menlo presents its annual Chamber Music Institute Benefit Concert and Reception, offering the opportunity to hear distinguished alumni of the CMI in performance. Music@Menlo is delighted to announce the 2022 Chamber Music Institute Benefit in support of the Ann S. Bowers Young Artist Fund. The concert features Institute alumni, details about the upcoming Music@Menlo summer festival, and a dessert-and-wine reception with the artists. By attending, you will help to raise vital funds for outstanding young artists launching their chamber music careers.<br><br>The program features works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Amy Beach. Beach was the first successful American female composer of large-scale art music; her <em>Gaelic Symphony</em>, premiered by the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1896, was the first symphony published by an American woman.
