A two hander about faith, friendship and unspoken queerness from Maria Telnikoff. This will be a script-in-hand, rehearsed reading – the show is looking to go into Research & Development Stage early next year. 

Set in Leicester, My Sister Life follows the lives of two second-generation immigrant girls from different backgrounds, Maryam and Hanna – Maryam is Asian-Muslim and Hanna is Eastern European-Catholic – in their GCSE year, set against the backdrop of world events in 2016. Tied together by the music of “The Moldy Peaches”, it is abut the closeness, tenderness and potentially fraught nature of teenage, female friendships.
