Conductor Stéphane Denève returns to Walk Festival Hall with a suite of scenes from Prokofiev’s legendary balletic tribute to Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers. But first, pianist Marc-André Hamelin joins the Festival Orchestra in Ravel’s miraculous concerto for a wounded WWI veteran, and Jennifer Hidgon’s “symbolic doorway into and out of this world” completes the program.
