Violinist Natasha Bazhanov convenes five colleagues to perform two sextets belonging to Brahms’ youth. Brimming with turbulent, thwarted longing, the first sextet dates from his closeness with Clara Schumann — a love which neither felt able to pursue after the death of Robert Schumann.
