The stage is set to celebrate a spectacular new season! This glamorous evening begins with Rossini, Elgar, and Carlos Simons’ invigorating Fate Now Conquers—inspired by Beethoven’s journal entry of that phrase from the Iliad. Then, music imitates art in Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, a joyous fusion of drama and beauty based on the paintings of Victor Hartmann.
