Tusk has been criss-crossing the country since 2008 as The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute. But of all the Fleetwood Mac tributes playing around the United States today, what exactly sets Tusk apart?

The Salina Symphony meets Jazz in this high-energy performance of genre-defying works. We will literally kick things off with music from the Tony Award-winning musical Cabaret followed by two new works by Kyle Saulnier, a multi-instrumentalist and composer who fuses American music with industrial rock. Singer Janie Brokenicky and dancer Alison Hiatt will tell the story of Kurt Weill’s The Seven Deadly Sins, an accessible and satirical tale that uses wit, theatrical flair, dancing, cabaret music and a Greek chorus to explore the complexities of human nature and society.

Look up “holiday music” in the dictionary, and it’s likely that there is a photo of the nine-person a cappella group Straight No Chaser instead of a standard definition. For more than two decades, the group has provided the soundtrack of the season, bringing millions of fans to their feet while putting them in the holiday spirit. Year after year, fans anxiously await the moment they can officially hit play on Straight No Chaser favorites.

Two-time Grammy award winning comedian/actor/writer Lewis Black uses his trademark style of comedic yelling and finger pointing to expose the absurdities of life. His comedic brilliance makes people laugh at life’s hypocrisies and the insanity he sees in the world. He has performed throughout the world and the US, where he performed at Carnegie Hall and had two successful Broadway runs.

After more than three decades as the lead singer and guitarist for Barenaked Ladies, Ed Robertson has a routine when it comes time to start writing songs for a new album. "I tend to get ideas while I'm driving up to my lake house," he says. "I record voice memos along the way, and then I listen back and try to make sense of them and mix and match the various ideas I've come up with. On a typical drive, I'm happy if I get six or seven — eight ideas would be a good drive.

Hannah Applequist will command the spotlight in Paul Dooley’s new percussion concerto, The Soaring Souls, an energetic yet lyrical composition inspired by the tragic love story of Francesca da Rimini. The adventure continues with Symphonie Fantastique, a highly evocative and expressive work full of fantastical imagery, written by Berlioz in response tohis own experiences of heartbreak and unrequited love. Prepare to be transported to a world of passion, drama and excitement with this unforgettable concert!

LEAHY, the dynamic Canadian band from Lakefield, Ontario, has been a force in the folk, Celtic and world music scene for decades. The group of siblings from the 11-member Leahy family is renowned for their outstanding musical abilities and thrilling French-Canadian step-dancing. From early days, LEAHY has been known for their innovative approach to music. Their self-titled debut album showcased their distinct sound and style, merging traditional Celtic tunes with modern rhythms and instrumentation. This blend of deep-rooted tradition and contemporary creativity has become a hallmark of their music and performances, resonating with audiences worldwide. LEAHY’s music has also earned the family and band widespread acclaim and numerous accolades, including several awards and nominations from the Juno Awards(Canada’s Grammy’s) and the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Uplifting tunes and exuberant rhythms abound in this concert of epic proportions. Following a lively opener by Maestro Segal, the incredible principal cellist of The Cleveland Orchestra, Mark Kosower, will perform Friedrich Gulda’s Cello Concerto, a wild and catchy work described by the composer as “jazz, a minuet, rock, a smidgen of polka, and a march.” On the second half, Tchaikovsky’s monumental and heroic Fifth Symphony paints the ultimate picture of victory over strife. From the lush orchestration to the soaring melodies, you won’t want this concert to end!

Classic Albums Live takes the greatest Classic Rock albums and recreates them live on stage - note for note / cut for cut. “CAL are curators,” says founder Craig Martin, “These albums are historic and stand the test of time and CAL honors these records and their fans by delivering performances that sound exactly like these records."

Experience Mozart’s majestic final work, the Requiem, a masterpiece of both solace and intensity reflective of the timeless themes of life, death and redemption. On the first half, the program opens with a spiritual work by Florence Price featuring principal clarinetist Chris Johnson. Young virtuoso Lun Li will then bring Joseph Bologne’s remarkable and “Mozartean” Ninth Violin Concerto to life. A true renaissance man of the 18th century, Bologne was an extraordinary black composer neglected for centuries who is finally getting rightful recognition as one of the most accomplished musicians of his time.
