The Cory Band is one of the world’s most successful brass bands from South Wales. They are a two time Grand Slam title winner and been crowned Brass in Concert champions five times in the last 10 years, and are in demand across the UK and Europe to perform for audiences. Cory concerts are highly entertaining and engaging for all ages and musical tastes, featuring their Musical Director, Philip Harper and their world renowned soloists. Continuing on from last years 50th anniversary celebrations of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells, the multi-million-selling and multi-award-winning album will be performed live in concert at the Cornwall Playhouse!

Tubular Bells is world-renowned as one of the most celebrated examples of music in film for its soundtracking of horror classic The Exorcist. Its legacy was cemented with Oldfield’s performance of the album’s main theme at the iconic London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, one of the rare performances of the project he has given.
