This December, the holiday spirit takes centre stage at the Bingley Arts Centre with The Northern Swing Orchestra’s highly anticipated festive concert, “Swing into Christmas.” Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with the magic of Christmas. The 16-piece Big Band and singers have been working hard to put the finishing touches to this year’s show, which features some fantastic vocals. This year’s lineup promises an enchanting blend of captivating vocals and mesmerizing instrumentals, setting the stage for a night to remember. As Yorkshire’s leading Big Band, The Northern Swing Orchestra is excited to bring you an electrifying mix of the best Christmas songs and beloved traditional favourites. From the timeless allure of “Jingle Bells” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” to the snowy serenade of “White Christmas,” each piece has been carefully selected to capture the essence of the season. We’re also thrilled to present festive renditions of Big Band instrumental classics that promise to ignite the holiday spirit in everyone. Prepare to be swept off your feet as we guarantee an evening brimming with melody, mirth, and merry making. Whether it’s the rhythmic tapping of your feet, the joyous sing-alongs, or the laughter shared between friends and family, “Swing into Christmas” is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of the yuletide cheer that brings us together.

We are very happy to welcome back this two-hour, uplifting rock ‘n’ roll show. Three West End artists celebrate the music of three rock ‘n’ roll icons, all in true authentic rock ‘n’ roll Style: Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, & Elvis. Roy Orbison (Darren Page) will have you believing Roy is back. Darren has performed all over Europe and the UK with all the favorites: Crying, In Dreams, I Drove All Night. It is a magical recreation of the style of Roy himself. Buddy Holly, (Marc Robinson) and his four-piece band ‘The Counterfeit Crickets’ give attention to detail with authentic attire, horned rimmed glasses and the famous Stratocaster guitar. Marc Robinson from the original ‘Stars in their Eyes’ Show and ‘Buddy’ The Musical, creates nostalgic memories with songs that include Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, Peggy Sue and True Love Ways! ELVIS: what more can you say, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll himself! Hit after hit: That’s Alright Mama, G.I. Blues, Burning Love. This will be a fantastic concert featuring our 3 choirs and a brass quintet. Let us get you into the festive spirit with an evening of seasonal music. We are proud to be supporting ‘The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice’ and some of the concert’s proceeds will be donated to this amazing charity.

A Choral Christmas Cracker

A new adaptation of Dickens’s classic tale of redemption, with live music and using a multi-roling, ensemble cast. On Christmas Eve, miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and by three other ghosts, who show him the error of his ways and introduce him to the joys of Christmas and reignite love for his fellow people. This is a WORLD Premiere and is sure to be a crowd pleaser, attracting audiences from all generations. A perfect festive family show.
