A Theatrical Feast at Bolton Little Theatre: From Robin Hood's Merry Adventure to Little Voice's Remarkable Journey

Blown fuses, real and metaphorical, punctuate the action with flashes of pent up energy in this acclaimed play. The diminutive heroine frequently plunges the dilapidated house she shares with her alcoholic mother into darkness by playing her dead father's records at a volume matched only by the soulful power of her vocal impressions. Little Voice has a hidden talent: she can emulate every chanteuse from Judy Garland to Edith Piaf. She hides in her room, crooning and dreaming of love, while her disheveled mother mistakes a seedy agent's interest as affection rather than enthusiasm for the gold mine buried in her daughter's throat. This is an engaging fairy tale of despair, love and finally hope as LV finds a voice of her own.

Head has Blackadder take on the role of Chief Executioner, only to behead the wrong man, much to his wife’s annoyance.

THE HOUGHTON WEAVERS have been entertaining folk for 49 years with their unique blend of popular folk music, humour and audience participation.
 
In their time together, the group have performed thousands of concerts, recorded over 30 albums, and starred in several of their own highly successful BBC radio and TV series.

With Taxes rising through the roof in the little town of Nottingham, only one hero can safe the townsfolk. With the help of Little John, Robin must rescue the girl of his dreams, Maid Marian from the dastardly evil Sherrif of Nottingham. Featuring lots of fun, with sing along songs to all join in with. Robin Hood is a Panto you “Sherwood” want to see.
