Festive Delights at Norwich Puppet Theatre: A Christmas Extravaganza

Expect soaring harmonies and exquisite musicianship as the 5-piece blast through a repertoire of brand new, specially written songs, fresh arrangements of traditional carols both well-loved and little-known, and seasonal classics from both sides of the Atlantic. Originally formed in 2015 for a one-off yuletide concert, A Winter Union have gone from strength to strength in the following 5 tours and now are fast becoming thought of as the pre-Christmas kneesup for folk & roots lovers all over the country. The band, that features members of The Willows, Gilmore & Roberts and Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage have gone on to play the likes of the Great British Folk Festival, Cecil Sharp House were invited for a live session on BBC Radio 3’s inTune.

Norwich Puppet Theatre’s Puppet Pantomime returns for a thrilling third year in the shape of The Sleeping Beauty.

The classic fairytale is given a fresh re-telling by Mark Mander, creator of 2022’s Cinderella and 2023’s Jack and the Beanstalk.

Expect a fast paced adventure with beautiful puppets in spectacular costumes, wonderful and witty new songs, captivating visuals and hilarious jokes for the whole family.

Sleeping Beauty

A collection of original animated festive films with music and narration performed live by local musicians.
It will be an audio-visual experience for both young and old, with plenty of opportunities to sing along.

An Animated Christmas Experience

A Seagull Christmas Carol is an imaginative, playful and faithful adaptation of the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge; a cranky old miser who makes life a misery for everyone he meets, until an evening of ghostly visitations forces a dramatic change in him.

Two dynamic performers give this magical, hilarious and vibrant family friendly retelling a spirited twist. Following a multitude of East Anglian tours and three sell-out runs at Biddy’s Tea Room The Keeper’s Daughter’s production of this classic is back in Norwich by popular demand!

A Christmas Carol

On Monday Next is a hilarious play that lays bare the behind-the-scenes drama of a struggling repertory theatre troupe. With a cast of eccentric characters, witty dialogue, and a high-stakes setting, there’s more drama offstage than on, in this comedy about a play that shouldn’t be a comedy!

This production will be in three acts, set in the 1960s and performed by the newly formed non-profit Pockthorpe Light Operatic Players (PLOP!) to raise funds for Norwich Puppet Theatre.
