Dare to Know Theatre Invites is back bigger and better than ever. We’ve invited some of our favourite local artists, theatre makers and playwrights. This year, Cathy Crabb returns with a new play written with her daughter Hazel Green. Introducing new writing from both Waterloo Road’s Sonya Nisa and Coronation Street’s newest arrival Kimberley Hart-Simpson. Joseph Walsh introduces his new play, He’s Comin’ Home, and for the first time, we invite Oceana Cage to showcase her new play Shot. Dare to Know Theatre also introduce their new play Broken Boys and sections of their brand new community play.

When two magical elves, Red and Lo, arrive to help the local shoemaker, they realise they need to ‘put themselves into someone else’s shoes’ to understand what the customers need. But will Lo learn enough to make the perfect pair of shoes, and earn their magical hat bell?! Come along, join in, and find out!

Afreena lives in Woodley, a little suburb nestled in between Hyde and Bredbury. Hyde is where Afreena goes to Banoful for her Bengali sweets, gets her eyebrows done, and pops to Asalamoalaikum Cafe when she gets a hankering for Fuchka and Chotpoti. Bredbury is where she goes to christenings at St Mark’s Church. Aside from the hotel currently housing asylum seekers, Bredbury is pretty white.
