A place for creation. This is the Leipzig Ballet under the new direction of Rémy Fichet. The two-part ballet evening »Humans« opens up space for creativity and abstract narratives in the art form of dance.

Louis Stiens, born in Munich and most recently a dancer at the Stuttgart Ballet, not only explores how dance takes root in the body and how this affects his personal choreographic language, but also examines the history of the Leipzig Ballet and its work in the GDR, creating links with Schubert’s »Unfinished« Symphony.

The choreographic language and legacy of Uwe Scholz is internationally recognized and undoubtedly legendary. As choreographer and ballet director from 1991 until his death in 2004, he was instrumental in shaping the program and identity of the Leipzig Ballet to this day.
