Everyone is welcome to come and join us for the festive carols under the Christmas Tree at 13.30 on Tuesday 24th December. It is always an occasion filled with joy, many generations of Playbox members, families, friends. There is no need to book in advance.

We are always delighted to announce the date of Playbox’s beautiful Christmas Grotto. It is one of the highlights of our Playbox calendar! This year, Father Christmas will be visiting us on Saturday 14th December from 11.00-15.00.

This December, Blue Riders bring a thrilling new twist to Chekhov’s classic farce in The Proposal Variations, a riotous, expressionist reimagining of Anton Chekhov’s beloved one-act play. Taking to the intimate Studio at Playbox Theatre, the ensemble will plunge Chekhov’s comedy of manners into a whirlwind of movement, colour, and theatrical invention.

This is one of the highlights of the Playbox Winter Season, and will be accompanied by a presentation from the cast of our Christmas production, Alice Through The Looking Glass, as well as Christmassy stalls, refreshments, non-alcoholic Christmas punch, festive hotdogs, and Christmas activities for all of the family to enjoy.
