Who doesn't know the theme song to the Christmas classic "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella"? For over 50 years, the fairytale heroine has ridden dreamily through snowy landscapes on her white horse, St. Nicholas, delighting generations of viewers. Cinderella takes her fate into her own hands, fights for great happiness, and in doing so, shows the prince unerringly the way right from their first encounter in the forest. Headstrong and with the heart in the right place - that is what defines the film to this day. Since its first broadcast in 1973, this light-hearted film fairytale with its snowy backdrop and wintery, romantic atmosphere has been an integral part of Christmas programming.

The concert "A Soundful Summertime" by Irene Thurn's piano class will take place on Monday, July 7, at 5:30 p.m. at the Haus der Musik, Karolinenstraße 19 in Hof. The program includes a diverse selection of pieces from various musical eras and styles, played by young pianists from the Hof Symphony Orchestra's music school. Visitors can experience works by composers such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Peter I. Tchaikovsky, Antonín Dvořák, Béla Bartók, Dmitri Shostakovich, Valery Gavrilin, Peter Manfred Schmitz, and Jürgen Moser.

“Soundful Summertime” – Concert by Irene Thurn’s piano class

Three members of the Hof Theater ensemble, who have already enjoyed success in various musical productions, will be on stage with the orchestra: Cornelia Löhr, Carolin Waltsgott, and Maurice Daniel Ernst. They will sing solo numbers and duets from popular musicals such as "Les Misérables," "Jekyll & Hyde," "Miss Saigon," and "Beauty and the Beast." In addition, the Hof Symphony Orchestra will present rousing instrumental numbers from works such as "The Lion King," "Anatevka," and "The Phantom of the Opera." This entertaining summer program will be conducted and presented by David Preil, the conductor of the Coburg State Theater, returning to his former stomping grounds in Hof for this special concert.

Violetta Köhn's piano class at the Hof Symphony Orchestra Music School invites you to a summer concert. It will take place on Thursday, July 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the KlangManufaktur (Kulmbacher Straße 1). Young musicians, beginners and advanced, will present works by composers from different eras and styles. The program includes works by important composers such as Frédéric Chopin, William Gillock, and Manfred Schmitz and demonstrates the musical diversity and dedication of the young musicians. The concert offers an excellent opportunity to celebrate the development of young talent and experience the beauty of classical piano music.
