==South Coast Symphony== ===History and Mission=== The South Coast Symphony, also known as the Unstuffy Symphony, is a distinguished orchestra based in Orange County, California. Established in the year 1996, it has since become a staple in the region's cultural landscape, serving the fifteen diverse communities within south and central Orange County. The Symphony is comprised of 65 talented members and prides itself on being both professional and accessible, offering affordable symphonic experiences to a wide audience. The mission of the South Coast Symphony is multifaceted, aiming to entertain and educate its audience while simultaneously drawing in a new generation of symphony-goers. To achieve this, the organization presents an eclectic mix of programs that span a broad range of musical genres. Their repertoire includes classical masterpieces, operatic works, light classics, as well as Broadway hits and popular Pops concerts. This diverse programming strategy has been key to the Symphony's success in reaching a varied audience. Performances are held at the Coast Hills Auditorium in Aliso Viejo, which is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and offers excellent viewing from any seat. The South Coast Symphony is supported by the South Coast Symphony Alliance and the Junior Alliance, both of which are vital in providing volunteer services and additional support to the organization. These groups play an instrumental role in sustaining the Symphony's outreach and operational efforts. The South Coast Symphony continues to thrive as a cultural beacon in Orange County, bringing together communities through the power and beauty of music.
