From whimsical tales inspired by children's stories to the rich voices of the New World, and culminating in the grandeur of orchestral music, these performances promise to engage and enchant. Join us as we delve into this diverse lineup, featuring talented musicians and an eclectic repertoire that bridges the past and the present.

A Harmonious Journey Through Chamber Music and Orchestral Delights

Join us on December 20th and 21st at 7:30pm for our annual holiday Candlelight Concerts. 

Oregon Mozart Players enters the most wonderful time of the year with our annual, candlelit holiday concert, aptly titled Glow, featuring Interim Artistic Director Daniel Cho on the podium and OMP cellist Eric Alterman as soloist for Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s Cello Concerto in A major.  The folk-inspired simplicity of music by English composers Ralph Vaughan-Williams and Gustav Holst will bring a smile to your face  and Christmas-themed works by Francesco Manfridini and Gregor James Werner will warm your heart.

Change is afoot for the Oregon Mozart Players.

It had been long planned and, because of the pandemic, delayed a couple of years, but Kelly Kuo’s 12-year run as artistic director and conductor will come to a close on May 11 at the University of Oregon’s Beall Hall with the Legacy concert.

There was the spiritually meditative beginning, the spritely interplay between the violin and viola in the middle, and the pure classical sound of Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 in A Major at the end.

In short, there was something for almost everyone on March 23 at the sold-out sanctuary of Central Presbyterian Church near the University of Oregon when the Oregon Mozart Players performed the program Breathe, a wonderful evening of music under the direction of artistic director and conductor Kelly Kuo.

Jeff Eaton guided OMP as Executive Director for over 14 years before his death in 2015. It was his idea to create a chamber music series featuring OMP musicians. By imagining, creating, and performing in small ensembles, they would have fun engaging listeners up close and honing the skills necessary for the uniquely soloist demands of every OMP concert.
