The stakes of Angels Vocal Art’s upcoming presentation of Gian-Carlo Menotti's The Consul are high. A political dissident, John Sorel, is on the run from the secret police. His wife, Magda Sorel, will do everything to protect him, even travelling to the consulate, desperate to obtain a visa. She joins a crowd of hopefuls waiting for a response, only to face more obstacles. Meanwhile, John’s mother sings to comfort the sick child, and even a magician entertaining the secretary does not succeed. Angels Vocal Art presents the beloved Puccini classic, TOSCA, in a Gala Performance with full orchestra at the Manoukian Performing Arts Center. A tragedy of passion and jealousy and a roller coaster of love, lust, murder and political intrigue, it tells the story of the tempestuous opera singer Floria Tosca (Jessica Sandidge), as she fights to save her lover Cavaradossi (Todd Wilander) from the sadistic police chief Scarpia (Roberto Perlas Gomez).

The Emerging Professional and Studio Artist programs are very different from each other. Although the singer’s level, skill set and experience are factors, these may not determine which program is a better fit. No age limit.

If you audition for the Emerging Professional Program, you are automatically considered for the Studio Artist Program as well.

We will be holding auditions in major cities in the US and also accept video submissions (followed by a Zoom interview). After your audition, we will let you know what options we have available for you and will make you an offer.

All our productions are with professional orchestra and are presented in the beautifully renovated Manoukian Performing Arts Center!

Audition time slots are first-come, first-served. Casting starts immediately following the auditions. An accompanist will be provided for all auditions. Successful candidates will be invited to a Zoom interview.

It may come to a surprise but it has already been three years since the COVID-19 Pandemic first loomed over the operasphere, impacting the lives of singers everywhere. At its greatest peak and in our darkest hour, a small team at AVA first began working on what would become a tumultuous yet rewarding production of La Voix Humaine. Following the construction of a complete studio from the ground up, many health-compliant rehearsals, and months of sweat and tears, our team of artists were able to present their vision to a select audience in 2021. Two years later, we are finally ready to share the culmination of our diligent passion with the rest of the world.
