Dinçer Güçyeter’s novel presents the voices of three generations of women – told by the son of Fatma, who arrives in Germany in 1965 as the wife of a Turkish guest worker. The poetic language, sociographic accuracy and the lifelike figures make this novel a fascinating material for theatre.

Our Germany Fairytale

Based on the author's letters and literary texts, actor Jonas Dumke takes us on his personal journey to Heinrich von Kleist, with a homage to his language and his life. The war experiences of the young soldier Kleist and his suicide with Henriette Vogel are also included in this solo evening about an eloquent man whose words ultimately got stuck in his throat. "ACH!" was first produced at the HKB Theater in Bern and premiered there on June 23. Since then, it has been further developed and transferred to the stage of the Theater Aachen. In March 24, the solo project was invited by the German Academy of Performing Arts to the Young Actors' Week, where it was awarded the Günther Rühle Prize, the Audience Award and the Student Jury Prize.
