JUSTIN GOMLAK is a veteran of nine Broadway shows, originating companies, understudying major roles, and serving as a dance captain and swing in multiple productions over fifteen years. These shows include original companies of Seussical the Musical and Shrek the Musical, The Producers and revivals of Annie Get Your Gun, Mystery of Edwin Drood, Annie and the Tony Award winning revival of Anything Goes. Concurrently, he has been a teaching artist, a master class facilitator, guest artist, faculty member and arts administrator for numerous arts education organizations including Camp Broadway, Broadway Classroom, City Center, the BRAVO television network, US Performing Arts Camps, Moveable Arts, Arts Horizons and in the NYC public schools. He was most recently a performing arts specialist on the faculty of Manhattan’s prestigious Dalton School, teaching dance and theatre to students in kindergarten through third grade. He extensively lectures and has held master classes in audition techniques, dance, acting, music, and performance. He holds a BFA in Vocal Performance and Theatre from Carnegie Mellon University and a MA in Educational Leadership, Politics and Advocacy from New York University.

Dr. Moiya McTier is an astrophysicist, folklorist, and science communicator based in New York City, but her origins are a bit more modest… and surprising.

Moiya grew up in a log cabin in rural Pennsylvania without running water or TV, which meant she had plenty of time to focus on her studies. Hard work and a lot of luck took Moiya to Harvard, where she was the first person in the school’s long history to double major in both astrophysics and folklore. After graduating, Moiya moved to New York to earn her PhD in astrophysics at Columbia University. There, she was named a National Science Foundation Research Fellow for her work studying planets outside of our solar system and the motion of stars around the galaxy. Moiya officially became a doctor of the universe in 2021 as the first Black woman to graduate from Columbia’s astronomy PhD program and started pursuing science communication full-time.

Alton Brown was directing TV commercials when he got the crazy idea to go to culinary school and reinvent the cooking show. The result was Good Eats, an irreverent, science-forward program that kept Brown gainfully employed for over twenty years. Along the way he also hosted iconic programs like Iron Chef America, Food Network Star, and Cutthroat Kitchen. Brown’s live culinary variety shows have toured to sold-out crowds across the country since 2013, and his tenth book, a collection of essays and ruminations, Food for Thought, will be published by Gallery Books in February of 2025. Among his various mantle candy are a pair of James Beard awards and a Peabody.

Chris Botti, a GRAMMY-winning trumpeter, has been a global favorite for nearly three decades, collaborating with superstars like Sting and Lady Gaga. Masterclass: Forever Tango

Based in Prague, the Czech National Symphony appointed American conductor and composer Steven Mercurio as their Music Director in 2019. He will lead the orchestra in Dvorák’s popular Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.” First prize winner in the NY International Liszt Competition, pianist Maxim Lando will join the orchestra for Liszt’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 1. He has been lauded by The New York Times as displaying “brilliance and infectious exuberance combined with impressive delicacy and wild-eyed danger.”

Herb will be 90 years old on March 31st, his classic album, "Whipped Cream & Other Delights" will be 60 years old, Herb and his wife Lani are still celebrating their marriage of 50 years and due to an out-pouring from long time fans, Herb will, for the first time in over 35 years, be touring throughout 2025 with an all new "Tijuana Brass". All of those great hit songs and wonderful memories that we all grew up listening to will be performed by Herb and his exciting new touring band in a once in a lifetime concert tour! After launching a dance class series for seniors and persons with disabilities in the fall, we are happy to announce our winter/spring series designed just for seniors! We are calling it “Golden Groovers” and it is designed to engage and challenge our adult learners. Taught by dynamic Van Wezel teaching artists Deb Lombard and Eric van Baars, participants will warm up their bodies and groove to original choreography connected to the theme for each class
