Broadway North Youth Theatre’s Teen Troupe, ages 13 – 18, take the stage to perform this fun, tuneful and very pink musical! Based on the novel and hit-movie of the same name, Legally Blonde: the Musical chronicles the journey of the famously perky Elle Woods, a fashion-savvy, UCLA Delta Nu sorority girl who finds her life turned upside down when she is dumped by her boyfriend who wants a more “serious” partner in life. In an effort to prove to him that she is more than just some dumb blonde, she follows him to Harvard Law where she struggles to fit in and excel. Through self-empowerment, integrity and perseverance, however, she defies expectations while remaining true to herself.

With a perfect combination of street-smarts and optimism, Annie charms all the people she meets on her journey of discovery, including the billionaire Oliver Warbucks who has invited an orphan to spend Christmas with him. With a cast of memorable characters including the evil Miss Hannigan and the delightfully charming orphans with whom she is entrusted, Annie is a musical that has warmed the hearts of audiences for decades.

MIMPA is thrilled to be bringing Meredith Wilson's beloved classic, The Music Man to the NewRoads Performing Arts Centre in February 2025.  The Music Man Tells the story of con-man "Professional Harold Hill", a fast-talking travelling salesman who comes to River City, Iowa, and charms the townspeople with his music and wit.  He then cons them into buying instruments for a band that does not exist.  His plans rearrange when he falls for the town librarian, Marian Paroo.  She discovers his con and his plans begin to unravel.  With iconic songs such as 76 Trombones, Wells Fargo Wagon and Till There Was You.  The Music Man is entertainment for the whole family.  This story is about more than just music: it highlights the importance of community and connection and is sure to warm the hearts of audiences of every generation.

Back by popular demand.  Jack de Keyzer will once again perform at the Old Town Hall. Opening this evening is local musician and longtime bluesman Patrick Fockler.  He is pleased to appear with his trio, including his brother and Newmarket resident Andrew Fockler on drums along with Jamie Nicholas on Fender Bass.  Former semi-finalists in the International Blues Challenge, they are pleased to play in support of one of their heroes, Canadian Blues Legend Jack De Keyzer. 

Jack de Keyzer, guitarist, singer, song writer and producer performs his high energy original  blues, rock and soul charged music across Canada and the world in a career that is still going strong after 50 years.
