Park Avenue Chamber Symphony

Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, founded in 1999, is a distinguished orchestra based in New York City. Under the leadership of Music Director David Bernard, the ensemble has gained international acclaim through its extensive recordings available on platforms such as iTunes, Naxos/ClassicsOnline, Amazon, and Spotify. The symphony has performed globally, including a notable tour in 2011 across nine cities in China. It has been recognized as a three-time First Prize Winner of The American Prize Competition in Orchestral Performance (2011, 2012, 2013), praised for its impressive and professional-level performances. Critics have lauded the ensemble for its polished, exquisite performances that echo the depth and fervor of traditional European orchestras. David Bernard, also the Music Director of the Massapequa Philharmonic and the Eglevsky Ballet, is celebrated for his innovative audience engagement strategies and has been described as the "Johnny Appleseed of Classical Music." Bernard's achievements include a First Prize in The American Prize Orchestral Conducting Competition in 2019.
