Georgetown Palace Theatre is a historic venue located in Georgetown, Texas, known for its rich legacy in the performing arts. Established between 1925 and 1929, it originally served as a movie theatre showcasing silent films and later, talkies. In 1936, the theatre underwent a renovation to adopt an art deco style, enhancing its architectural appeal. Between 1998 and 2001, the theatre experienced a major restoration, preserving its art deco charm. Since 2002, the theatre has functioned as a community theatre offering professional-quality live productions, a robust education program, and off-site cabaret and dinner shows. The theatre is committed to inclusivity with adaptive shows and provides educational opportunities through classes, camps, and productions for young audiences. Located at 810 South Austin Avenue, the theatre continues to be a cultural hub, engaging the community through diverse programming and volunteer opportunities.
