Fontaines D.C.

Fontaines D.C. is not a traditional artistic organization such as a venue or ensemble; rather, it is an Irish post-punk band formed in Dublin. The band was founded in 2017 and comprises members Grian Chatten, Carlos O'Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III, and Tom Coll. Fontaines D.C. quickly gained critical acclaim with their debut album, 'Dogrel,' released in 2019, which earned a nomination for the Mercury Prize. The band's music is known for its raw energy and poetic lyricism, drawing on elements of punk rock and incorporating literary influences. Fontaines D.C. has been recognized for its impactful live performances and has toured extensively across Europe and North America. Their subsequent albums, 'A Hero's Death' and 'Skinty Fia,' have continued to bolster their reputation as one of the notable contemporary bands in the post-punk revival scene.
