YAMATO's performances are a unique blend of intense energy, delicate music, and theatrical expression, often described as "Physical music." The group features more than 40 Taiko drums, each with its own character and sound. The centerpiece of their performance is the Odaiko, a massive drum made from a 400-year-old tree, measuring approximately two meters in diameter and weighing 500 kg.

The members of YAMATO have trained rigorously to master these instruments, delivering a performance that is both physically demanding and musically intricate. Their shows are a sensory journey, evoking a range of emotions from intensity to comfort, and even moments of humor.
