Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the next generation of talent at Spotlight: A Studio Artist Showcase, an exciting new fundraiser benefiting the Jan Miller Studio Artist Program and our educational initiatives. This inspiring event will feature our talented Studio Artists in a concert-style performance, shining a spotlight on the work they’ve done with us this year and looking forward to their promising careers ahead.

The Sanctuary Pensacola

While preparing for a performance with their commedia dell’arte troupe, Canio becomes enraged when he discovers that his wife, Nedda, has been having an affair. She refuses to give her lover’s name, as their castmate Beppe urges them to get into costume. During the performance, Canio returns to his jealous rage, and Nedda’s young lover, Silvio, rushes the stage to save her—culminating in a very real tragedy. Featuring one of the most well known arias of all time, “Vesti la giubba,” Pagliacci is a verismo masterpiece of dramatic proportions.

Susanna and Figaro are getting married! There’s just one problem—Figaro’s boss, the overbearing and womanizing Count Almaviva, is trying to delay their marriage in order to seduce Susanna himself. Luckily, Figaro has a few tricks up his sleeve, enlisting the help of his fiancée and the Countess to expose the Count’s philandering ways. Mozart and Da Ponte’s timeless comedy—based on Beaumarchais’s sequel to The Barber of Seville—contains some of opera’s most brilliant music…and plenty of laughs!
