The Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center (FMU PAC) is a cultural hub located in downtown Florence, South Carolina, and opened its doors in 2011. The center features an 849-seat main auditorium equipped with a fly tower and orchestra shell, a 100-seat experimental theater, and an academic wing dedicated to the Department of Fine Arts Music Industry degree. The surrounding area includes the 500-seat Truist Amphitheatre and the Beverly Hazelwood and Starr Ward Garden Courtyard. The PAC serves as the home for FMU’s Music Industry program and hosts resident performing companies such as the Florence Symphony Orchestra, Masterworks Choir, and South Carolina Dance Theatre. It is a venue for a variety of cultural and civic events throughout the year and offers spaces for public rentals. The center is equipped with accessible facilities, including seating and parking, and provides concessions during performances. The FMU PAC is committed to enhancing the cultural landscape of the region by offering diverse programming and supporting the arts community.
