We are delighted to invite all our subscribers and donors to the 59th Annual Membership Meeting of the Chamber Music Society of Salt Lake City. This important yearly gathering will be held on the 2nd floor of David P. Gardner Hall in the beautiful Thompson Chamber Music Hall.

This year, not only will we reflect on our past achievements and outline plans for  our 60th season, but the meeting will also be complemented by a special performance. This event is free for all subscribers and donors of the Society, courtesy of the Society’s Board of Directors. We encourage all members to join us in shaping the future of our beloved society while enjoying an evening of sublime chamber music.

The critically acclaimed Brentano String Quartet returns to the Chamber Music Society of Salt Lake City to perform Schubert’s “Trout Quintet” with virtuoso pianist Jonathan Biss and award-winning Principal Bass of the Philadelphia Orchestra Joseph Conyers. This final concert of the Society’s 58th season is not to be missed!

The German-based Signum Quartet closes out the 59th season of the Chamber Music Society of Salt Lake City.

Leonkoro Quartet is comprised of string-players Jonathan and Lukas Schwarz, Amelie Wallner, and Mayu Konoe. Their swift rise in classical music is highlighted by their victory at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition and their selection for the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists program. Capturing hearts in Europe's premier venues and festivals, Leonkoro's blend of youthful exuberance and mature musical insight makes them a standout ensemble of their generation.

The Dover Quartet is the Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music and holds additional residencies at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University and the Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere festival. The group’s awards include a stunning sweep of all prizes at the 2013 Banff International String Quartet Competition, grand and first prizes at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and prizes at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition. Its honors include the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award, and Lincoln Center’s Hunt Family Award.

The Sitkovetsky Trio has established itself as an exceptional piano trio with sensational performances in the foremost concert halls around the world. The trio’s thoughtful and committed interpretations have earned them much critical acclaim, including BBC Music Magazine’s Chamber Music Award and Pizzicato Magazine’s Supersonic Award.

The Viano Quartet aims to unite the dichotomy between collaborative and soloistic music making to create a voice that speaks both distinctly and as one cohesive force. We believe in uplifting the individual through dynamic teamwork and uncovering the personal nuances of collaboration to invigorate our communities. Our hope is that through a charismatic and fiery approach, our music can tell a unique story that speaks authentically to each audience member and empower a new generation of artists.

Viano Quartet

Jerusalem Quartet has impressed critics and moved audiences with striking interpretations of time-tested quartet repertoire and beyond.

Highlighting their range, the Quartet’s program reflects three centuries of quartet repertoire, spanning the early Classical through twelve-tone modern styles. The program also encompasses countless moods: the clarity of Haydn’s monothematic movements, the teeming darkness and vigor of Shostakovich, and one of Dvořák’s loveliest slow movements.

Jerusalem Quartet

Famous for its energy and passion, Paris-based Modigliani Quartet brings a stylish precision to its performances of the most exquisite chamber music in the string quartet repertoire. Add in Italian pianist Fabio Bidini, known “as a master teacher, chamber musician, and among the best concert pianists of his generation” (Sarasota Herald-Tribune) to the ensemble, and you have a night of chamber music bliss.

Winners of a 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grant, and the 14th Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2022, the New York City-based Isidore String Quartet was formed in 2019 with a vision to revisit, rediscover, and reinvigorate the repertory. The quartet is heavily influenced by the Juilliard String Quartet and the idea of ‘approaching the established as if it were brand new, and the new as if it were firmly established’.
