Los Gatos Ballet is a distinguished dance institution located near downtown Los Gatos, within proximity to Vasona Park, Fisher Middle School, and Daves Elementary. Established in 2005, the Los Gatos Ballet Foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Its mission is to inspire and foster a love and appreciation for dance by providing high-quality educational and training programs, exceptional performances, and collaborations with other arts organizations. The foundation is dedicated to building character and empowering individuals through the medium of dance. The Los Gatos Ballet offers a comprehensive Youth Program designed for students ranging from 4 years old to pre-professional levels. The program is known for its holistic approach to training, where the faculty focuses on nurturing students' physical, mental, artistic, and emotional growth. The curriculum emphasizes resilience, awareness, and excellence, guiding students towards self-mastery. The Youth Program includes an Academic Program with divisions ranging from Preparatory to Advanced, as well as Pre-Season Prep, Summer Program, Wellness Program, and detailed Policies & Registration. Additionally, Los Gatos Ballet provides a Drop In Program catering to teens and adults who seek flexible class schedules and commitment levels. This program also offers high-quality performance opportunities through auditions. The Pilates Program at Los Gatos Ballet is another facet of the organization's offerings. The program is led by a dedicated staff of movement and dance professionals who are also certified Pilates instructors. They bring their expertise to a variety of Pilates Apparatus and Mat classes. The Pilates studio is well-equipped with a sprung floor, marley surface, mirrored walls, and a full range of spring-resistive Pilates equipment. The program is designed to improve core strength, stability, and overall balance, while also promoting mind-body discipline. Los Gatos Ballet's facilities include four state-of-the-art studios with sprung floors, marley surfaces, mirrored walls, and high-end sound systems, as well as a Pilates apparatus studio. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization has adapted by offering outdoor classes in a large event space located off Blossom Hill Rd and Harwood Rd. This space, along with the studio spaces, is available for rent to the community.
