Philharmonic Orchestra

The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra (GPO) is a distinguished regional professional orchestra based in Greeley, Colorado, notable for its over-century-long history, making it one of the few orchestras in the United States to achieve such longevity. The GPO employs musicians from across Colorado and Southern Wyoming, with over 70 members holding a master's degree or higher. The orchestra is committed to the pursuit of beautiful music, a tradition rooted in the region's history. The Greeley Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (GPYO), originally founded in 1947 as the Junior Orchestra, was relaunched in 2021 through a collaboration with the University of Northern Colorado’s School of Music and local educators. The GPYO aims to nurture young musicians by offering high-quality orchestral experiences and fostering professional development. Directed by Doran Azari, a seasoned music educator and performer, the GPYO provides students with opportunities to enhance their musicianship and learn professional etiquette.
