Soprano and Court Singer Elin Rombo is one of Sweden’s brightest stars on the international opera scene. A cherished guest at Konserthuset Stockholm, she now returns to the main stage – this time together with the visiting Västerås Sinfonietta under the baton of Chief Conductor Simon Crawford-Phillips.

Felix Mendelssohn filled his magnificent Second Symphony with festive fanfares, roaring orchestral cascades, and atmospheric choirs to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the invention of the printing press. The first thing Gutenberg printed with his revolutionary invention was the Bible, and there Mendelssohn found verses that praise both God and enlightenment. When Mendelssohn’s cantata symphony is performed in Berwaldhallen, the Swedish Radio Choir will be joined by the Västerås Sinfonietta and soloists and conductor Simon Crawford-Phillips.
