Arktisk Filharmoni

Arktisk Filharmoni committed to conveying knowledge about life and conditions in our region. We are also the youngest orchestra in Norway and we are organised in a unique way: a sinfonietta in Bodø and a chamber orchestra in Tromsø, each playing weekly concerts in their hometowns. 8-10 times a year, we perform as a full-scale symphony orchestra when we combine the forces of the sinfonietta and the chamber orchestra. We are also an important employer to free lance musicians in the region and Norway in general. This model has been judged extremely successful in terms of flexibility, use of resources, and most importantly in terms of quality and the audience experience. We perform 200 – 250 concerts every year at home and abroad.
