A first prize at the ARD Music Competition has launched many a career – including that of Quatuor Arod, which, after winning in 2016, took off internationally and debuted as a "Rising Star" at the Elbphilharmonie in 2019. Bayerischer Rundfunk writes: "This string quartet plays at a technically outstanding level – in a league with the very best." Could a penchant for Bach chorales contribute to this? The four French musicians have already released 36 videos featuring the short baroque pieces, sometimes as an encore and sometimes as a ritual at the start of rehearsals.
