Founded in 2012 and claiming to be part of the "New Classics" movement, Echo Collective combines training at the Brussels Conservatory with contemporary music through two of its iconic projects: the hypnotic soundscapes of Mirror Image (2024) and a tribute to the melancholy of the late Jóhann Jóhannsson in a suite also inspired by the German abstract painter Thilo Heinzmann ( 12 Conversations , 2019, Deutsche Grammophon). On record, the ensemble has boldly reinterpreted albums by Radiohead and Erasure and developed its own creations on The See Within .
