BLOODY MOON is a vibrant and sensual dance performance brimmed with humor. Here, a group dances their final dance while embracing life in all its splendor. Aware of life’s final and ready to overcome by a dizzying sensation as they approach the abyss. BLOODY MOON is inspired by the famous work of the French thinker Georges Bataille on desire, eroticism, liberation, and madness, and marks the first world premiere for Danish Dance Theatre’s artistic director, Marina Mascarell. Mascarell has created works for some of the world’s most renowned companies, including Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT),  Australian Opera Ballet, GöteborgOperans Danskompani and Skånes Dansteater.

Danish Dance Theatre is excited to bring the company's popular dance festival, Danish Dance Theatre's Summer Dance, to Mors, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg, where audiences can look forward to experiencing Denmark's national contemporary dance company, Danish Dance Theatre, in the open air. This year's program features the world premiere SURVIVE created by Tehran-born artist and choreographer Roza Moshtaghi with 10 dancers from Danish Dance Theatre.
