Christmas music has a very special ability to evoke memories and create atmosphere. It is the notes that connect us with the expectant Christmas Eves of childhood, the frosty mornings when the snow crunches underfoot, and the cozy moments in the glow of candles.


That is why we are very pleased to be able to invite you to a Christmas concert in true big band style when we unite with the Schleswig Music Band, also known as SMUK. SMUK is one of the three full-time professional music bands of the Danish Armed Forces and consists of 16 talented brass and percussion players. As the musical ambassadors of the Danish Armed Forces, they play at a wide range of events both at home and abroad – and now, together with the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra, they are bringing the wonderful Christmas atmosphere directly to the concert hall. The program includes a string of beloved American Christmas hits that evoke memories of snowy landscapes, twinkling Christmas lights and cozy moments with those we love. The swinging big band arrangements add energy and dynamism, while the more subdued melodies give room for contemplation and peace.
