The Nutcracker, the magnificent classical ballet, will be performed here by the acclaimed and prestigious RUSSIAN CLASSICAL BALLET company, featuring a star-studded cast of Russian ballet, under the artistic direction of Evgeniya Bespalova and Denis Karakashev. Based on the fairy tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by E.T.A. Hoffmann, the ballet tells the story of a girl who dreams of a prince.

The story is that of Franca Viola, the Sicilian girl who in the mid-1960s was the first, after suffering violence, to reject the so-called "shotgun marriage." Oliva begins as a fifteen-year-old searching for her place in the world in Italy at the time, where the law stipulated that if the perpetrator of rape then married the "offended party," the conviction would automatically be extinguished (even if it was against a minor). Now an adult, Oliva tells us her story backwards, from when she was a young girl facing life until the moment when, in a decision that sparked scandal and amazement, especially because it was unprecedented and revolutionary, she rejected the traditional "paciata" and said no to violence and abuse.

A story of escape and dreams, a story of yearnings for freedom, a story woven together: August 8, 1991, the Vlora ship docked in the port of Bari, carrying 20,000 Albanians. On the one hand, the government authorities wanted those twenty thousand locked up in the city stadium. On the other, the Bari community welcomed them with baked pastries and focaccias collected from families! An exemplary story that opens our eyes to the European political landscape of the 1990s and that today, where integration and acceptance are still questioned, finds full relevance. The show features three voices: those who set out on the journey, those who welcome, and those who observe. Three languages: an Italo-Albanian language —the journey, the wait, the landing —an Italo-Apulian language —critical awareness —Italian— astonishment. Three perspectives: a young Albanian, a man from Bari, and a child, bearing witness to an event that changed the course of immigration. A moving story, one that concerns us all, and one that still needs to be told.

FORMULA THREE – we are all Battisti's children

The longest kidnapping in Italy's history lasted 831 days. The kidnapping, carried out by the 'Ndrangheta, involved an eighteen-year-old Venetian man: Carlo Celadon. He was kidnapped on the evening of January 25, 1988, from the villa of his father, a wealthy businessman in Arzignano, in the province of Vicenza. They tied him with wire and locked him in the trunk of a car for seventeen hours, the time it took them to travel more than 1,300 kilometers, reaching Calabria, in the Aspromonte woods. They freed him on May 4, 1990, abandoning him on the side of a road, with clear instructions not to look back at the men who had held him captive for more than two years. His hair and beard were long, and he had lost over thirty kilos. The seven billion euros handed over by his family and many of his kidnappers vanished into thin air.

He will meet the Sluggish Cow and the Penultimate Penguin, and will discover that it's much better to smell the flowers than to count them, and that to move forward, sometimes you have to get lost! A show that tells little ones, without rhetoric, with lightness and poetry, a universal story about the search for identity: every child is unique and, looking in the mirror, can say, "This is me," like Happy Bear.

Due Luci (Two Lights) is a benefit concert to raise funds for Belluno Donna, an anti-violence center. Leading us through the repertoire of Lucio Battisti and Lucio Dalla are three female voices: Jessica Da Re, Giorgia Canton, and Jessica Lena, accompanied by Mosè Andrich on piano and Fabio Reolon on guitar. Stories of love, women, betrayal, and hope are told by actress Anna Olivier. Two dancers from Atelier Teatro Danza also take the stage. The concert, promoted by the Municipality of Belluno, AICS (Italian Association of Cultural Heritage) and local associations, was made possible thanks to the support of private sponsors.

On the centenary of her birth, Lucilla Giagnoni dedicates a performance to the divine Maria Callas. Drawing inspiration from Bellini's cavatina "Casta Diva" from Norma—an invocation and prayer to the moon, made famous by the Greek artist's performance—Giagnoni connects the myth of Callas with that of Medea, exploring their power as immortal queens, masters of the art of healing, but also the ruinous and destructive traits they share.

In a family of peasant origins, the ownership of fields and vineyards was inherited by Nena, a stingy, angry, and somewhat careless old woman. The evening's protagonists are the instruments—two violins, a viola, and a cello—created by luthier Gianmaria Stelzer with soundboards and soundboards made from the wood of the great centuries-old tree, which collapsed in 2017.
