Promoting talented young musicians in countries like Colombia and Cuba is one of the important tasks of the International Mozarteum Foundation. Several young artists have already established themselves in Europe and are pursuing their careers. Accordingly, all three ensembles in the sofa concert have Latin American roots. They will meet in Salzburg for LatinoMozart and share the stage in the Vienna Hall. These sometimes unusual ensembles will present music from their countries, including two world premieres, and bring it into harmony with Mozart. Rolando Villazón will elicit from them in dialogue how the participants came to own their instruments, what moves them about music, and much more.
