Örebro, Sweden
Örebro Konserthus designed by the then city architect Georg Ahrn, contained, in addition to a concert hall for guest events, also the city library. This gave the building a period-typical composite character. In 1981, the city library moved to larger premises and the concert hall was renovated to suit the changing needs. It is beautifully and centrally located by the Svartån River in Örebro's cultural quarter with Åstråket passing outside. The house was built in 1932 and was refined in 2015 with a ceiling lift of approximately six meters for the sake of acoustics. In addition, an extension of approximately twelve meters resulted in the house's entrance and restaurant Foajén - a multifaceted stage with a wide musical selection in a beautiful environment. In a concert hall, all emotions fit under one roof and the building provides the opportunity for them to fit in. In the common experience that people share in a concert, in the encounter with the music and the musician, at an event or in a conference.
