ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien is a world-renowned top orchestra, deeply rooted in the Viennese tradition of orchestral playing. Orchestra stands for musical diversity at the highest level – from classical to modern to contemporary music. Each year, the orchestra presents around twelve world and Austrian premieres. Marin Alsop has been chief conductor since 2019. Markus Poschner will take over this position from the 2026/27 season.
