Wiener Hofburg Orchester

Wiener Hofburg Orchester the finest classical musicians from all of Vienna's major orchestras joined forces under conductor Gert Hofbauer. Their stated goal was to cultivate and promote Viennese waltzes and operettas. Domestic and international radio and television productions, engagements in symphonic concerts, and recordings made the orchestra well-known and renowned. In 2014, Sylvia Moser took over as conductor of the orchestra. She placed particular emphasis on authentic interpretations of Viennese music and the contemporary design of engaging programs. Following Gert Hofbauer's death in August 2017, Giuseppe Montesano was appointed music director by Sylvia Moser in September 2017.
