Bambi is Back is an examination of modern motherhood in a world that has lost its connection to nature.

Bambi moves with his mother and father into the shadow of an amusement park – in what was once a forest – to live a seemingly safe and sheltered life. But the idyll is shattered. The mother feels how she is slowly losing herself in trying to take care of those she loves most, and in trying to live up to both her own and society's ideals. In the encounter with the forest, she must let go of the idea of ​​the all-sacrificing mother and come to terms with the forces that have shaped her. The family comes under pressure when the balance between love, care, independence and self-sacrifice begins to slip.

20 years ago, the three renowned actors Trine Dyrholm, Louise Mieritz and Tammi Øst met to write and compose songs about the place they were in life at the time. Songs that became the performance BODY

After two sold-out concerts atNørrebro TheatreIn August 2025, the three women will meet again and perform the songs as a concert accompanied by musicians Emil de Waal and Gustaf Ljunggren. Songs that are about love, existence, alcohol and death. And about the attempt to hold together when life and body are shattered and must be put back together.

The songs are performed as they were, so with the concert the women let the songs flow through their now slightly older bodies in the hope of being able to bring together an audience across generations. As a tribute to life and the body that carries it all.

Nørrebro Teater is proud to be part of presenting Emma Sehested Høeg when she plays her biggest concert to date in the Royal Arena on November 7, 2026.

This will be Emma's only concert in 2026 – a unique opportunity to experience her unfolding as a musician. The audience can look forward to an unforgettable evening with songs from her musical back catalogue, which will be supplemented by brand new additions as well as song features from previous HowTo Kill A Dog productions and the current Nørrebro Teater performance Bambi is Back. The concert is staged by Jennifer Vedsted Christiansen with scenography by Petruska Miehe-Renard.
