Dramaten

At Dramaten, classics, newly written theatre and theatre for children and young people are performed. The theatre is 100 percent owned by the Swedish state. The CEO is Kitte Wagner and the artistic director and theatre manager is Mattias Andersson. The theatre house at Nybroplan has been the home of Dramaten since 1908, and has four stages. The largest, Stora scenen, can accommodate up to 770 visitors. Directly adjacent to the house at Nybroplan, on Almlöfsgatan behind, is the Lilla scenen. Since 1997, Dramaten has also had a stage at Elverket, at Linnégatan 69, which has been operated together with Dansens Hus since autumn 2021.
