Next year, Allan Olsen will launch his new band project, “Allan Olsen & Det Sidste Slæng”. And what is a “slæng”? Allan Olsen: “When we showed up at the kitchen door, me and a couple of rascals, my mother said: – Well, are you coming there with your whole slæng?”. And in the very word, “slæng” lay her experience: – Soon the refrigerator will be ripped, the carpets dirty from desert boots and loud mess. Just as one would expect when “Allan and his gang” came by…” A gang is a group of conspirators, a group united in mutual trust and with a common destiny. Preferably in restless movement towards a somewhat loosely defined common goal. And together with an orchestra, Allan Olsen feels like part of a real gang.
