Since their debut album Secular Psalms (2020), Malmö-based Abu Nein has become one of the scene's big favorites with their drum machine-based gothic post-punk. In the fall of 2024, the band released their third album III – Dark Faith, whichmarks another step forward in the new darkwave scene. Associations that are often mentioned include names such as Coil and Legendary Pink Dots, as well as traditional goth references such as Siouxsie & the Banshees.
