Park City Opera

Park City Opera is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing audience-centered opera to our local community. In harmony with the breathtaking natural landscape of Park City, we are reinvigorating a centuries-old art form by reimagining the concert experience and presenting performances in unconventional venues. The team behind Park City Opera first joined forces in 2019 at Yale University, where Lena, Lisl, and Ben produced over twenty operas, occupying roles from singer, conductor, director, composer, stage manager, and in the most dire of times, costume designer! In the process, they discovered how to make opera thrilling, intimate, and unforgettable. Since then, they’ve created with companies like Atlanta Opera, Sarasota Opera, Festival Napa Valley, Apollo’s Fire, Pacific Opera Project, Opera Parallèle and more, honing their craft while dreaming of bringing something fresh to Park City. In 2024, Lena, Lisl, and Ben reunited in Utah to turn that spirit of experimentation into a homegrown company — Park City Opera.
