MahlerFest Orchestra

The MahlerFest Orchestra is part of the Colorado MahlerFest, an annual festival dedicated to the life and works of the Austrian composer Gustav Mahler. Founded in 1988 by Robert Olson in Boulder, Colorado, the festival includes performances of Mahler's symphonies and works as well as educational symposiums and film screenings. The MahlerFest Orchestra is composed of professional musicians from across the United States and beyond, gathered for the festival to perform Mahler's compositions as authentically and passionately as possible. Over its history, the festival has been recognized for its commitment to Mahler's legacy, and it was awarded the Mahler Gold Medal by the International Gustav Mahler Society in 2005. This honor acknowledges the festival's significant contribution to promoting Mahler's music. The festival remains a notable and cherished event for Mahler enthusiasts worldwide.
