United States Naval Academy Band

The United States Naval Academy Band, based in Annapolis, Maryland, is one of the oldest such ensembles in the United States, tracing its origins back to 1852. The band is known for its rich history and tradition, playing a vital role in supporting the Brigade of Midshipmen. Its primary mission is to enhance the morale of the Brigade and the surrounding community through musical excellence. The band performs a wide range of musical genres, from traditional military marches to classical and contemporary works, and is often seen at Naval Academy ceremonies, military events, public concerts, and parades. The ensemble also includes several smaller groups such as the ceremonial marching units and the jazz ensemble called the "Next Wave."
