Laibach

Laibach is a Slovenian music and cross-media group that originated in the town of Trbovlje in 1980. Known for their provocative and avant-garde approach, the collective is part of the Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK) art movement. Laibach's work blends a variety of musical styles including industrial, martial, and electronic, often featuring militaristic aesthetics and satirical plays on political themes. They gained significant attention during the Yugoslavian era for their controversial performances and use of totalitarian imagery, which they used to critique political systems and ideologies. One of their most notable performances took place in North Korea in 2015, making them one of the first Western acts to perform there, which was later documented in the film 'Liberation Day'. Laibach continues to be an influential force in the realm of experimental music and art.
