Van Baerle Trio

The Van Baerle Trio is a distinguished piano trio that was formed in 2004 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Comprising pianist Hannes Minnaar, violinist Maria Milstein, and cellist Gideon den Herder, the trio takes its name from Van Baerle Street in Amsterdam, where they first came together at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. With a reputation for exceptionally expressive performances, the trio has won several prestigious awards, including the Kersjesprijs in 2012 and first prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition. Known for their dynamic and innovative interpretations, the Van Baerle Trio has performed across notable international venues and festivals, gaining recognition for their romantic and contemporary repertoire.
