Opera Østfold

Opera Østfold is an opera company based in Halden, Norway, behind the country's largest outdoor opera productions, staged at Fredriksten Fortress. Alongside the major summer productions, the organisation runs a year-round programme of opera pub nights, smaller performances and the Halden Demenskor choir. Its history goes back to the ambition of turning the fortress from a military arena into a national and international cultural stage.
